Apricot House
Branding/Layout/Motion
Apricot House is a Columbus-based band creating melancholic indie dance music influenced by Japanese city pop and 1980s aesthetics. The brand system was designed to reflect both the emotional tone of the music and its retro inspirations without feeling nostalgic or derivative. Drawing from 80s Japan, I focused on mood, texture, and restrained color to create a visual language that feels atmospheric and expressive. Layouts balance softness with structure, allowing the identity to shift between introspective and energetic depending on context. The result is a cohesive brand that supports the band’s sound while remaining flexible across digital, print, and motion applications.
